    Richman Group of California was founded in 1986 to syndicate and develop affordable housing. Since then, the firm has grown, diversified and evolved across the United States and its territories. Richman Group is one of the nation’s largest affordable housing participants with in-house expertise necessary to execute all phases of the business, including: land acquisition, processing governmental approvals and entitlements, designing and constructing properties, arranging equity and mortgage financing for itself and its clients, and conducting long term asset and property management.   • West Angeles Community Development Corporation

    West Angeles CDC was founded in early 1994 as an outreach program of West Angeles Church of God in Christ, then a 15,000-member congregation in the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles. Dr. Lula Ballton and Bishop Charles E. Blake, together with Trustees of West Angeles Church, founded the CDC to expand the compassionate outreach and neighborhood development ministries of the church in the face of mounting problems of poverty and injustice in the surrounding community.

  • Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles

    The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (“HACLA”) was established in 1938 and has grown to become one of the nation’s largest and leading public housing authorities, providing the largest supply of quality affordable housing to residents of the City of Los Angeles. Founded by HACLA in December 1973 as a not-for-profit entity, La Cienega LOMOD’s original mission was to help provide good quality housing for low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities. Through La Cienega LOMOD, HACLA continues to explore alternative funding sources and has built numerous key partnerships with City and State agencies, nonprofit foundations, community-based organizations and private developers. Currently, La Cienega LOMOD has 797 properties in its portfolio amounting to 55,358 units.

  • AADAP and West Adams Work Source Center

    The Asian American Drug Abuse Program (“AADAP”) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving Asian Pacific Islanders and other underserved communities with substance abuse services throughout Los Angeles County. Programs and services are provided to all individuals regardless of race or ethnicity. Since 1972, AADAP began with the mission to improve community health through providing prevention education, treating substance abuse, and facilitating economic development to increase job skills and employment opportunities. Their programs have expanded to include HIV/AIDS outreach, Drug Court Services for the Inglewood Municipal Courts, tobacco education, and a for-profit business venture, MTC Construction. West Adams WorkSource Center, which is housed within AADAP headquarters, connects vulnerable youth and adults to job training and employment opportunities and businesses to skilled workers and resources. West Adams WorkSource Center is an equal opportunity employer/program that provides universal access to a variety of training and employment services for free.
